The VIVOSUN FlexFeed Self-Watering Pots provide an efficient and convenient solution for plant hydration. Designed for use with fabric grow bags up to 5 gallons, these pots feature an auto-irrigation system that delivers water and nutrients directly to the root zone, promoting deep root growth and preventing issues of over or under-watering. Constructed from durable glass fiber-reinforced polypropylene, each pot supports up to 130 lb (60 kg) and includes a 1.3-gallon (6L) water tank, a user-friendly water meter, and a maintenance window for easy refilling and testing. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments, including grow tents, greenhouses, and gardens.

Follow these steps to set up your VIVOSUN FlexFeed Self-Watering Pots:

3. Install Water Meter: Insert the water meter into its slot on the drain plate.

5. Add Water/Nutrient Solution: Pour water or nutrient solution into the reservoir via the maintenance window until the water meter indicates 'MAX'.
6. Position Grow Bag: Place your fabric grow bag (up to 5 gallons) directly on the drain plate, ensuring it sits right above the wicks for optimal water absorption.

The integrated water meter clearly indicates the current water level in the reservoir. When the indicator is at the 'MIN' level, it is time to refill. The 'MAX' level indicates a full reservoir.

3.2 Refilling Water/Nutrient Solution

To refill, open the gridded maintenance window located on the side of the pot base. Pour water or nutrient solution directly into this opening until the water meter reaches the 'MAX' level. This window also allows for convenient pH/EC value testing.

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your self-watering pots.

4.1 Cleaning the Reservoir

The elevated drain plate and multiple drainage holes prevent water buildup and direct excess runoff into the basin. Periodically, it is recommended to drain and clean the reservoir to prevent nutrient salt accumulation or algae growth. The maintenance window can be used to access and clean the reservoir.

4.2 Wick Inspection

Inspect the wicks regularly to ensure they are clean and properly positioned. If roots grow into the wicks, gently remove them to maintain efficient water transfer. Replace wicks if they become heavily soiled or damaged.

• Plant Wilting/Underwatering: Check the water meter. If it's at 'MIN', refill the reservoir. Ensure wicks are properly placed and making good contact with the grow bag.
• Waterlogging/Overwatering: The system is designed to prevent overwatering. Ensure the grow bag is not sitting directly in standing water above the drain plate. Verify that the elevated drain plate is correctly installed to allow excess water to drain into the reservoir.
• Slow Water Absorption: Inspect wicks for clogs or root intrusion. Clean or replace wicks as necessary. Ensure the grow bag material is suitable for bottom watering (e.g., fabric grow bags).
• Algae Growth in Reservoir: This can occur if the reservoir is exposed to light or if water sits for too long. Clean the reservoir thoroughly and consider using a light-blocking cover if applicable.
