When first turned on, condensation from previous use may leak for a few seconds. If it persists, ensure the water tank is hung at least 3ft above the iron, verify the Heat Indicator Light is OFF (meaning it has reached the right temperature), and use a touch-and-release method on the thumb switch rather than holding it down.
Regularly check if the steam orifices on the iron's base are clogged. Use the cleaning pick provided in your repair kit to clear them. To prevent hardening mineral buildup, use soft or distilled water along with the HOT-STEAM Demineralizer Resin in the water tank.
If you do not hear the required 'clack' sound when the steam button is pressed, debris may be preventing the plunger from moving. With the iron unplugged, open the Cover Nut by hand, remove and clean the Plunger and Plunger Spring, then re-install. If it still does not click or heat, the thermal fuse may need replacing.
