PS LoopScope is a professional Max for Live MIDI effect built to remove arrangement friction from your creative process. The moment you select a clip on LoopScope’s track, it reconfigures Ableton around that choice — snapping the loop brace, triggering playback, and keeping you spatially aware with a live dual-ring visualiser. Stop wrestling with your DAW and start navigating with intent.

1. Download the PS LoopScope .amxd file from your ProducerStack account.
2. Drag it directly onto a MIDI track in Ableton Live, or save it to your User Library under Presets → MIDI Effects → Max MIDI Effect for permanent browser access.
3. Select a clip on LoopScope’s track — the device responds immediately.
4. Ableton Live 11 or later with Max for Live is required. Max for Live is included in Ableton Live Suite and available as a separate add-on for Standard and Intro editions.

The Visualiser

The circular display gives you constant spatial awareness of where you are in the loop — at a glance, without interrupting your workflow.

Autoloop & Autoplay

The two toggle buttons at the base of the device are independent features. Use either alone or combine them depending on your workflow.

Autoloop
When Autoloop is on, selecting any clip on LoopScope’s track immediately snaps Ableton’s loop brace to that clip’s start and end points and switches looping on. The moment you choose a different clip, the boundaries update automatically — no manual dragging, no menu interaction.

When Autoplay is On, selecting a clip also starts transport playback from that clip’s start position — setting the loop and beginning playback in a single action. Ideal for live arrangement work and rapid section auditioning. Autoplay operates independently of Autoloop: use either feature alone or both together.

The Arrangement Navigation Track
The most powerful LoopScope workflow is a dedicated MIDI track — name it something like ‘LoopScope Arr’ — with dummy clips representing each section of your arrangement: Intro, Drop A, Break, Drop B, Outro. Set each clip’s length to match its section. Place PS LoopScope on this track and click any section clip instantly repositions the loop brace, ready for focused work or live playback.

Multi-Instance Deployment
Because LoopScope only responds to clips on its own track, you can run multiple instances without interference. One instance on the arrangement track handles global section switching; additional instances on instrument tracks give you clip-level granularity on individual elements. Each is fully independent.
