The Wireless OBD code reader is a diagnostic tool designed to interface with a vehicle’s On-Board Diagnostics system, retrieving live data from the Engine Control Unit (ECU) and allowing the reading and interpretation of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
Compatible with OBD II-compliant vehicles (typically those made after 1996) to help identify issues in the engine, transmission, and emissions systems, assist in troubleshooting, and enable routine performance monitoring. The tool allows resetting of fault codes and check engine lights. Note that it only provides diagnostic codes and does not offer repair instructions; professional expertise and further inspection is required for proper repairs.
Download and installation of the
YMOBD application onto your wireless capable device is necessary to connect to the reader.

Once you have downloaded and installed the application into your device, Register your email address and allow the application to you the wireless blue tooth function. Then close the application. Follow these simple steps to connect to the wireless OBD device:
- Ensure the ignition switch in the vehicle is in the OFF position.
- Locate the 16 pin Data Link Connector (DLC) in your vehicle.
This is normally within 12 in. of the center of the steering column. Check your vehicle owner’s manual if you have difficulty locating it. - Plug the Wireless OBD into the vehicle’s DLC.
- Turn the vehicle ignition switch to the ON or START position.
- Ensure your device’s wireless blue-tooth is on, then open the application. The application will automatically connect to the wireless OBD. If the connection is not made, connect to the wireless OBD in the Settings section of the application. If connection still cannot be made:
- Start the vehicle, or check that the ignition switch is in the ON or Start position.
- Check that the Wireless OBD is plugged in.
- Confirm your device permissions are set correctly to allow wireless connection.
- Ensure there is no other software that has established a connection.
- Unplug and plug the Wireless OBD into the DLC again.
- Reinstall or re-open the application.

Any implied warranties shall be limited in duration to 90 days from the date of purchase.
